We started because we kept hearing the same thing from brands: wholesalers who order once, pay late and go quiet.
Callum and James McBain founded Grow Exposure in Lincolnshire in 2021. The idea was simple enough to fit on the back of a delivery note: buy properly, pay properly, and actually grow the brand's reach rather than just move a pallet from one shed to another.
Callum runs the business day to day — the warehouse, the buying, the retail relationships. James is a co-founder and director. Aadil, our Sales Director, is the person brands deal with most, from the first enquiry to the hundredth re-order.
Five years on we operate from a warehouse in Gainsborough with offices in Manchester and Lincolnshire, and we buy from over 100 brands across health and beauty, grocery, household and automotive. Some of those brands have been with us from the start. That's the point.
Being family run isn't a marketing line for us. It's why the people you speak to are the people who own the decisions, why there's no account-manager churn, and why we'd rather grow steadily with the right brands than quickly with the wrong ones.
Long-term over one-off.
We don't start with a brand unless we can see ourselves still working together in five years.
Growth is the product.
An account that keeps growing is worth more to a brand than any pitch.
Exposure is the job.
Moving stock is table stakes. Getting a brand seen somewhere new is what we're actually for.
